Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II Out Now. Loads of Screens and Launch Vid Speed In

Do not adjust your sets. You're not looking at a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, which sees a return to a whole host of Sonic 2 zones, including Sky Chase and Wing Fortress, which both take centre stage in these launch screenshots.

There's even the arduous Aquatic Ruin zone from Sonic 2. There's a snowy stage in the shots too, which could be a return to Sonic 3's Ice Cap zone, and there's also a desert stage that looks a hell of a lot like the Desert Palace zone. Hmm... Even the Special Stages are lifted straight out of Sonic 2. Still, it does look very cool...

There's 37 screenshots to check out in the gallery, which also include a look at some of the bosses, as well as the launch trailer. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II is available to download from the PlayStation Store now for £9.99/€12.99/$14.99/AUD$19.95.

I almost thought they ditched the plan on making any more games with how long this one took.

Yeah, I agree. If these games were in the $6.99 to $9.99 range, I'd be all over 'em. But I can go get Sonic Generations for $10 less than the cost of both Episode I and II.

So, I'll be waiting on a sale... and playing Sonic Remix (a.k.a. what shoulda been Sonic 4).

I think the pricing is solid. It seem like they added a lot of content around this time. I wondering how metal sonic stages are different or he can be played on both episode 1 and 2. I wish they added a episode 3 so they could put knuckles in it. I would love to be able to play as OLD knuckles not how he plays in the newer games.
