As everyone's favourite blue hedgehog prepares to celebrate his 20th anniversary, SEGA is preparing to launch the Sonic the Hedgehog 20th Anniversary Event on the PlayStation Network, offering a whole range of Sonic games at discounted prices including reductions of up to 50% on titles like Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 and Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing.

Starting on June 23rd and running until July 28th, the Sonic 20th Anniversary Event will also see the arrival of the Sonic the Hedgehog Anniversary Bundle, which will be available until 12th July as four complete Sonic adventures for the bargain price of £13.99/€17.99/AU$ 27.99. Other Sonic titles set to get the discount treatment include Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic Adventure.

And that's about all we know about the Sonic sale on PSN for now, but you'll be able to see the full sale on the PlayStation Store from Thursday.

uh Sonic&Knuckles? I'm guessing you just copied and pasted an XBLA article. It would be cool to know the exact deal for, you know....PSN?

Sonic Genesis Collection is available on Amazon for $15, and from third-party vendors through Amazon for $9. So why would this matter to someone that was... y'know... smart?

Wait, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are now confirmed for PSN?

They were already released in a previous "Vintage Collection" XBLA batch on 360...and have been strangely missing from the coming lineup of PSN batches.

Really hope that isn't a copy/paste typo.
