The Dark Pictures: Little Hope Dev Diary - Will Poulter Talks Motion Capture & Branching Narratives
Written Tuesday, August 11, 2020 By Matt Lorrigan

Bandai Namco's latest developer diary for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope sits down with actor Will Poulter ahead of his video game debut.

British actor Poulter talks about what drew him to the project, saying that it was "the fact that at the core of it was a focus on authenticity as far as performance was concerned."

"Something that the team behind this project communicated to me early on was a need to make the relationships between the different characters and their individual arcs feel truly authentic... I'd also never done any motion capture performance work, or anything really like this before, so it was a new challenge too, and it's been really really fun."

Poulter also talks about what it's like acting with branching narratives, and how everyone interacted on set. You can check out the full five-minute video down below.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC just in time for Halloween on 30th October 2020.

Little hope they don't throw any polishing out of the window for the final third of the game again.
