The Outer Worlds Patch 1.3 Will Make the Tiny Text a Little Bigger (Again)

In November, Obsidian released a patch for The Outer Worlds that enabled players to slightly increase the size of the game's dialogue text and subtitles. Apparently, it didn't go far enough, however, leaving some users still squinting at their screens. Patch 1.3 aims to offer a more permanent solution.

As well as font scaling using a new slider, The Outer Worlds Patch 1.3 will also include improved font visibility, ultrawide support for loading screens and cinematics, multi quest map tracking (so you can see inactive quests on the map and select them), a new reticle HUD setting option for 'Aiming Only', and various gameplay changes.

The Chromatic Aberration setting will also save permanently following the patch, and a new invert 'X-Axis' setting, sprinting toggle, and improved item drops from vanquished Manti-Queens will be included as part of the update too. The effects of Encumbrance working correctly with the 'Confidence' Perk will also be addressed.

Patch 1.3 will be coming soon to The Outer Worlds on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

It's far too common for modern games to have tiny text thats nigh unreadable. Do they expect everyone to have giant wall mounted TVs or something?

Capcom was guilty of this with Dead Rising on the 360. No HDTV? Good luck reading a FUCKING thing in that game.

I've owned this game since almost launch. Still haven't played it. Waiting for more content and patches first.
