Assassin's Creed Ragnarok Listing Leaks on Amazon Germany and GameStop Italy

Rumours have been floating about for several months that the next Assassin's Creed could be delving into Norse mythology and all things Viking related with 'Assassin's Creed Ragnarok', and now leaked listings on a couple of major retailers' websites have added fuel to the speculation.

Amazon Germany has seen a listing surface for the Assassin's Creed Ragnarok 'Valhalla Edition' while GameStop Italy briefly offered pre-orders on a 'Mjolnir Edition' of the game. Both listings have been hastily removed, but not before both were screengrabbed and posted to Reddit (via Metro).

Of course, store listings are incredibly easy to fake, but we've seen on multiple occasions (especially when it comes to Ubisoft leaks and the Assassin's Creed series) pre-order listings for unannounced titles that have proven accurate. And with an Assassin's Creed title all but certain for 2020, Ragnarok seems as good a bet as any.

According to information swirling around the web, Assassin's Creed Ragnarok could transport players to Scandinavia and the British Isles circa. 800 BC, with more of the mythological brought to life, much like Assassin's Creed Odyssey. That means possible encounters with the likes of Odin, Loki, Thor and others, as well as sojourns to the Nine Realms.

Should Assassin's Creed Ragnarok indeed prove to be the next entry in the series, it's likely the game will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in autumn 2020, perhaps with cross-gen versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X too. Should we expect an official announcement soon? Maybe.

Ubisoft with their multiple game editions. Good thing I haven't even started on Odysee yet so I could wait until every DLC is released and get the complete edition for a bargain price.

Can't really get behind this one. I know Assassin's Creed isn't realistic, but going this root doesn't sound good granted if this is real or not.

The AC series has been running on fumes since 4, drawing comparisons to God of War isn't going to end well.

I wish they go back and make it more about the assassinations.

I thought Unity was on the right track with it. Letting you tackle different ways how to assassinate a target.

Also I know that people have already screamed for this but. Please a game based in Japan during the Sengoku period (when the Shinobi first appeared) would be great.

The last 2 were great and this setting is going to be fun so let me be the first non-negative comment about this - can't wait to get this (once it's dropped and the DLC is out because obviously).

Assassins Creed is dead. It became a fantasy rpg with weird shit. In the last one you could ride a horse with flames. I miss the old ones. Bring back Ezio!

@ #8 Sure, AC is dead. That's why it's Ubisoft's best selling franchise and one of the highest selling game franchises of all time. Not to mention Origins and Odyssey are two of the most well received instalments since Black Flag. But sure, be cool with your negativity.
