Dreams to Leave Early Access This Weekend
Written Friday, December 06, 2019 By Ben Borthwick

Media Molecule has announced that Dreams, its PlayStation 4 creative suite, will be ending its Early Access period after this weekend, meaning it's the last chance for interested parties to try out the sandbox title before launch.

Anyone who's already purchased the Early Access before 11:59pm GMT on 8th December (00:59 CET 9th December) will still be able to access the game, but after this point no new players will be able to purchase Early Access. However, if you do buy in before the cutoff, you'll be upgraded for free to the full version of Dreams "when it launches" - the date of which hasn't been revealed yet.

However, the team have announced the first "Impys" - an award ceremony that will recognise the best creations made in Dreams so far over its early access period. Nominations will open from this Monday, the 9th of December in a range of categories including Creator of the Year, Best Curator and Best Gameplay. You can vote for your favourites via the official nomination form - and the ceremony itself will take place on the 26th January 2020.

Will this be when Dreams launches proper? Media Molecule are yet to say, but it's probably worth keeping an eye on it, just in case.
