Tom Clancy's The Division 2
The Division 2 Episode 2 arrives on 15th October, Second Raid Delayed Until 2020

Ubisoft has today announced that Title Update 6 for The Division 2 will arrive on 15th October for players that have purchased the Year 1 Pass. This update introduces Episode 2 of their story content, Pentagon: The Last Castle. This mission will take players to the five-sided federal building in an attempt to reclaim it from The Division 2’s deadly Black Tusk terrorist faction. For those who haven’t purchased the Year 1 Pass, this content will become available a week later on 22nd October.

The update will also include two new classified assignments exclusively for Year 1 Pass holders, and a slew of gameplay and balance changes across the game. This includes changes to crafting, targeted loot, inventory management and the Dark Zone. For a full list of updates, see Ubisoft’s website

The bad news for fans is that Ubisoft have also delayed the next raid, which now won’t launch until an unspecified date in 2020. The development team stated that ‘the extra time for our teams will help ensure the second raid not only meets our standards, but yours as well’ after mixed feedback from players towards the first raid.

The Division 2 Episode 2 launches 15th October on PS4, Xbox One and PC for Year 1 Pass holders, and a week later on 22nd October for all players.

Good on Ubisoft for not pushing out another ill-conceived, unwinnable raid and then patronizing 99.99% of console players for not being able to complete it. However, this is not enough to regain the player respect Ubisoft lost. Ubisoft torpedoed trust with the console community during the Operation Dark Hours raid fiasco, and unfortunately, the gear system in this new update is still a convoluted, unusable mess. I don't think Division 2 will ever recover from the damage Ubisoft self-inflicted. Everything Division 2 has done since launch, including Operation Dark Hours, has essentially been damage control. That's not an effective way to build a player base. The handwriting for Division 2 is on the wall.
