Ubisoft Premium Pass Leaks, Is It An EA Access-Style Subscription Service?

It appears that Ubisoft could be planning its own EA Access, Xbox Game Pass or PS Now-style subscription service under the guise of the 'Ubisoft Premium Pass'. The result of yet another leak - as is usually the case in the run-up to E3 - the pass was spotted on Ubisoft's official site, erroneously posted with a placeholder image.

Spied on ResetEra, the Ubisoft Premium Pass could presumably offer something akin to EA Access, with a library of games available to play in exchange for a monthly or annual fee. EA Access also gives its members 10% off on full games and DLC, as well as limited early access to new releases; whether Ubi's possible version of the service would do the same is unknown.

In fact, nothing is really known about the Ubisoft Premium Pass beyond speculation, but should the leaked listing indeed be pointing to a subscription-based service like EA Access, PS Now, or Xbox Game Pass, it could mark yet another publisher moving towards a different model for delivering its games.

Ubisoft is due to hold its E3 2019 media briefing on 10th June, when we'll potentially find out more about the Ubisoft Premium Pass, and hopefully some new stuff, like Splinter Cell or Watch Dogs 3. Fingers crossed.

I play loads and loads of Ubi games, The Crew, Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs , The Division, .....problem I have is that I already have their current batch of games, so would not really be interested in this until they release the next batch of games.

I'm the exact opposite of #2. Haven't played Watched Dogs or any of the Ass Creed games, Division or latest Need for Speed. If it's similar to EA Access I'm getting this pass for sure.

I own all Ubisoft games except for Assassin's Creed Origins, The Division 2 or Far cry New Dawn, so would be interested if it's cheap enough.

Will this pass include the games' DLCs/Season Pass? If so I might just give it a try and maybe get on their Assassin's Creed back catalogue. Only drawback would be not being able to keep a physical copy for posterity purposes. But yeah DLCs included then it's a WOW!

@5 I highly doubt dlc will be included. It will more then likely be just base games and get people to double dip on dlc like EA Origins.

It's no coincidence that this exists and now sony is allowing EA subscription with next gen around the corner.... I'm calling it now, this is what the next gen gaming will be abou... Fragmented subscription services where nobody owns their games

This will be the future of gaming soon no physical releases, expensive digital versions but a pass system that more cheaper to play any game. EA Access and Game pass from MS have been around for ages but it's only a matter of time before physical is gone and they try to change it to this and once that does I won't be buying a console again

I'll still own physical games next gen. Of course I have been called a nobody. If games go to digital or stream only that will be the gen that I say no thanks and start to work on my insurmountable back log.

This service will be an easy pass because I get Ubisoft games for very very cheap and don't like to stream my games. I have been thinking about getting PS Now again because you can download the PS2 and PS4 games because there are several indies that do not have physical copies and paying the $100 yearly fee would be far cheaper then buying all the games that I want even if they we're on sale for $3 because they're is over 35 games. Plus if a game goes on sale that has PS Now on it I bypass it just in case I do subscribe to PS Now.

No thanks. I have no desire to support Ubi, just as EA in any shape or form. Pre owned games is my answer for greedy publishers.
Plus I like to own games. So no, I’ll pass.

More software as a service to try and get a steady income rather than a feast/famine of income when projects are completed, etc

I assess each game individually before I buy them so this service doesn't suit me, but I can see the appeal for someone who play every singe UBI game
