Daedalic Entertainment has announced it's latest futuristic thriller State of Mind which will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this August.

State of Mind is set in Berlin in the year 2048 and players take on the role of Richard Nolan, a journalist whose memories are slipping away after his wife and child mysteriously disappeared. It's a low-poly visual style game which is designed to mimic the fragmented nature of Richard's world.

There are about 15 hours of gameplay for players to delve into and it's down to them to find out what's going on in Richards life and in the world around him. During the investigation that you embark on you'll find yourself getting closer to the perfect virtual world 'City 5' where people who are depressed with their lives eventually end up in.

The game's author Martin Gantefohr said in the press release, "State of Mind is a game about transhumanism and its all-in bet on the future. It is, however, not a game about the technology of tomorrow, but about tomorrow’s people. In the centre of this narrative is the motif of separation and reunion. What happens, if the future creates fractures between body and mind? Between reality and constructs? Between biological and virtual ego?”

State of Mind will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on 15th August 2018. You can check out the new announcement trailer for the game below.
