EA has announced its next EA Originals title following the success of A Way Out and Fe. This one is called Sea of Solitude, and comes from Berlin-based indie studio, Jo-Mei Games.

In Sea of Solitude, you play as Kay in an exploration-based third-person adventure inspired by the likes of ICO or RiME. Kay is among the denizens of a world in which extended periods of loneliness cause them to transform into monsters, and she'll need to find a sea of creatures like her to change back.

It's locating these souls who share Kay's curse of being so lonely they've become monsters that will prove the key to lifting her condition, but she'll have to navigate waters of "heartache, empathy, and hope" in an emotional journey. Sea of Solitude will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in early 2019.

I really liked the art style of this game. And I appreciated the enthusiasm of its presenter.

Reminds my of Submerged with a horror element. It definitely looks cool and hoping it gets a full retail release and if it is digital only then it will have to wait for a sale.

Usually I don't have to pay to experience monstrous loneliness.

Its the standard indie formula:

Quirky art style + child player character + themes of loneliness + ambiguous ending = Several industry awards for how 'brave' they are to release something so 'unique'

I was gonna say that the Chinese are really firing all cylinders in the gaming industry... then I just found out Jo-Mei (GmbH) is actually a German Game Developer based in Berlin...

The art style really caught my attention... should be an very manageable plat or 100%...
