Capcom has announced that the Devil May Cry HD Collection, which launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 back in April 2012, will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC digitally and at retail in March 2018. Featuring Dante's original PS2 trilogy, the games will all be presented with high-res visuals running at 60fps.

Like the 2012 collection, Devil May Cry HD Collection includes the first Devil May Cry from 2001, the not very good Devil May Cry 2 from 2003 and the brilliant Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition featuring a younger and even brasher Dante, first released in 2006.

Could this re-issue of the Devil May Cry HD Collection be hinting at the announcement of a brand new DMC title at The Game Awards tonight? Fingers crossed, eh? The Devil May Cry HD Collection will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 13th March 2018 for $29.99 or your regional equivalent.

I think everyone’s more interested in the release of the RE2 Remake.

Well, there has been a leak flying around of Devil May Cry V and possibly being announced this weekend along with SoulCalibur VI. So the timing of this may bring some credence to that.

Extremely extremely unlikely, but I hope it's cross buy with the PS3 digital versions :(

could this announcement be a tease to DMC 5? I can't wait for PS Experience this weekend!

It's time to stop ok!? No more! But on the other hand, more trophies and excuse to play great games again even if redundant to some. Crazy, just when I thought we were done or nearly done with ps3 ports/remasters to ps4

Awesome news for DMC fans! I absolutely love Devil May Cry games, so this will be a day one for me for sure. I've also been reading a tonne of info about a possible Devil May Cry 5 and this seems like the perfect precedence for an announcement to that effect.

If I remember correctly, it took me 7 hours to complete DMC2's Bloody Palace (without counting all the times I paused the game to take a break). Since the NA version didn't had the Unlimited DT code like the Europe version had.

I love DMC1 & DMC3 but screw DMC2. I already replayed both games many times on the PS2 anyway.

@9 I would love to see Onimusha make a comeback...however this doenst look like another remaster but a port of the remaster with minor tweaking. Its ok to port previous games to new systems, there are always people playing these games for the first time because they are available om a system they own.

I get the whole remaster stuff, I totally get it.. I did it with The Last of Us ps3 to ps4, and it looked beautiful.. I dunno, im not really feeling the whole "lets just re port a game", I guess this appeases the 'non backwards compatability" which I honestly think people just want for no reason at all. If they were really true gamers, they would keep their old systems instead of dumping historic games for a new shiny model. Its all an utopian vision of playing all of the old games, but not wanting to hold on to the hardware that does that in the first place. NO one has the time to replay dozens of old games that they finished and played on old systems.. The fandom is not that deeply rooted that Im going to play games that I spent dozens of hours on why? theheh but hey if you honestly think that you have the time go for it, more power to you.. but don't bemuse yourselves, its all just video game head banter.. ehehe
