Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, the cinematic narrative adventure based upon the current Apes movie-verse, will be coming to PlayStation 4 later this month, developer The Imaginarium has announced.

Set between the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, Last Frontier puts you at the centre of the mounting conflict between apes and humans, as both struggle for survival. You'll be able to play "and empathise" with both species, creating a fragile alliance or an all-out war, depending on the decisions you make during the story.

Up to four players can engage in the story at any one time too via PlayLink or controller, in a feature that looks to "push the boundaries" of interactive drama. "Our aim is to bring new depth to choice-based adventure and offer that to our audience as an immersive, cinematic experience," said The Imaginarium Founder and Apes actor Andy Serkis.

"I’m proud to say that Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier does just that, combining the merits of both premier performance capture and next-generation story-telling." Well, if Gollum says it's good, then I'm in.

Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier will be available digitally for PlayStation 4 from 21st November in North America and Europe, priced £15.99/€19.99/$19.99. A pre-order bundle with the game's OST and five PSN ape avatars will also be available.

According to the people who got it early (thanks to the screw-up a week or two back which saw it put on the store for a few hours before being pulled), this game is boring as hell and pretty glitchy.

This game is so insignificant to me because of the single player, it will play as two enemy gangs, if the developers make it multiplayer for two people, one choose one side of two, that will make it really entertaiment.

I prefer disc games. So unless it comes out on disc later on or gets picked up by Limited Run Games I'll skip on this.
