The Sexy Brutale has launched today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, serving up a single, endlessly-looping day set within the eponymous English mansion that's been converted into a strange casino by the enigmatic 'Marquis'. Assuming the role of priest Lafcadio Boone, it's down to you to hide and observe the stories of other guests in a bid to rescue them from a grisly end at the hands of the mansion's staff.

"The Sexy Brutale is our sincere attempt to create a game that is exciting, original and different," says developer Cavalier Game Studios' Design Director, Charles Griffiths. "We’ve spent years crafting this experience and we very much hope that players will enjoy their time in the mansion."

As you discover the key occurrences that take place within the mansion, you'll be able to ascertain how to save each guest, before acquiring seemingly occult powers linked to their masks. The more guests you rescue, the deeper you can delve into the mansion's mysterious past to uncover the truth at the heart of The Sexy Brutale.

You can grab The Sexy Brutale for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC now for $19.99/£15.99. Check out the launch trailer below.

Are you guys being paid to promote this game? It's been in the news feed so much over the last couple of weeks. It doesn't even look that good.

@1 They wouldn't ever admit it as why would anyone ever trust them again the next time they tell you a game is worth buying. However I have know doubt that sometimes sites like this do take payments from publishers to promote their games. It's how the world and business works. You've only got to look at this sites coverage of Mafia 3 and Wildlands. There were dozens of trailers and this site never missed one along with their commendable reviews, even for the bug fest Mafia 3, not to mention ME:Andromeda. They very rarely slate a game or make a big deal out of bug fests. Not surprising it's nearly always big money publisher games either.

However what I will say for the Sexy Brutale is that when 'THE' Jim F******Sterlingson gives any game 10/10 then it must be worth a shout!

Won't be surprised if this comment gets deleted either.

@1 7 articles in total, only 5 of which in the past few weeks when the developers released details.. and that is so much?

*If* they were paying Dan and co for coverage, it can't be a lot. There are other games being covered a lot more on PST and that's simply because there is more news about them to report. You'll find that they will produce articles on PST and XBA whenever they get news worthy or reporting because there are people who'll want to know and it's the reason why they're here. If you don't want to know about a game, don't bother clicking on the articles.

Anyway, the game looks good to me, I'm definitely looking at buying it,

The game is very good, yes.
It´s totally worth it.
But I do agree about this site receiving payment to promote games.
Not that I care that much though.
