Telltale Games has announced that it has hired Leah Hoyer as its new vice president of creative - meaning Hoyer will now oversee the studio's writing, design and voiceover teams across the whole company.

As reported by Develop Online, Hoyer has previous been employed by The Walt Disney Company and Microsoft, with her most recent role taking the form of head of narrative over at ArenaNet for Guild Wars 2.

Whilst Hoyer was at Microsoft, she worked on titles such as Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive and she was head of original programming over at Disney, too - that's a pretty impressive CV.

Telltale currently has a lot of games in the works - aside from the Batman, Borderlands, Game of Thrones and Walking Dead games that all have sequels due, there's also the brand new IP the company is working on in the shape of the Guardians of the Galaxy game (made in partnership with Marvel).

Develop Online also reports that in addition to directly overseeing the creative facets of the studio, Hoyer will also be leading the Telltale Creative Workshop: an invite-only workshop that is held at the same time as GDC in San Francisco, focussing on narrative design.
