Having launched in Japan last year, Corpse Party: Blood Drive (the final entry in the 'Heavenly Host Elementary' chapter of the Corpse Party horror adventure series) is set to make its way to North American PS Vitas next month, thanks to publisher XSEED Games.

Following the first Corpse Party and its follow-up Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, Blood Drive ups the ante by offering the opportunity to explore the Heavenly Host Elementary in full 3D for the first time, with the old 2D locations recreated and expanded.

The game also features new gameplay systems, providing "more exciting interactions for players" as you play out the finale in a school inhabited by vengeful spirits, disarming traps, hiding in lockers and managing your stamina system. Corpse Party: Blood Drive also features the original Japanese voice overs.

There'll even be a limited 'Everafter Edition' of Corpse Party: Blood Drive (pictured below) available to purchase at retail for $49.99, bundling the game with a two-disc compilation from the Corpse Party trilogy and a 'Dying Art' grimoire that includes over 100 pages of artwork from the series.

Alternatively, you'll also be able to download the game from the PlayStation Store for $39.99. Corpse Party: Blood Drive will be heading to PS Vita in North America on 13th October 2015. Check out the announcement trailer below.

@2 Thanks,I may just check out lets play to catch up. The rest of the year is bad money wise but I can somehow fit this title in but not the other 2 as well.

The first game is relatively cheap, but watching a Let's Play is fine. Only the last chapter of Book of Shadows matters, it's mostly fluff and a downgrade because it's more visual novel than the original game.

I am very hyped for the physical release with all the goodies.

Just the fact that it's getting a physical release outside of Japan makes it worth it since the previous games were digital only for being on PSP. (Though with PS Vita, it does seem like it would be possible to have this be digital only too), but glad XSEED decided to make a physical copy and even with bonus goodies included.

Enjoyed the 1st 2 games but wish the spin-off game could have been localized too. I hope Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient gets ported as well.

The 1st game is now on 3DS.

Heard of this series, but still doesn't interest me as much. Though who knows, I may still check it out at some point if I am able to. But for now, not worried about it.

This and Dragon Quest come out the same day… Both are the two games i been looking forward to this fall… guess I'm going to be broke for October.

But super psyched for the soundtrack and it actually being physical. If it was a digital only I'd have to wait… reason i wont pick up Soma...

@ #11, it was never released on the PS4, only on the VITA(JP). Even though it says on the Sony servers. As of now, they still haven't corrected the description.

I'm more interested in a seperate trophy list, since I already aced the JP version. Would be nice if it's stackable :)
