Ready at Dawn and Sony have released a new behind the scenes video for The Order: 1886 today, offering some insight into the game's cast. Apparently, it was a long process nailing down the right actors for the role, but Ready at Dawn got there in the end.

"Finding the right actors for these parts was the last piece of the puzzle to finally make each of our characters come to life," writes Ready at Dawn CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya on the PS Blog.

"The search was long. It took many months, rounds of casting and auditions with a wide spectrum of extremely talented actors. In the end, it came down to four people who would form the core of the Order’s most elite squad. We finally had our cast."

Here's a rundown of the lead cast members in The Order: 1886:

  • Steve West stepped in the shoes of our protagonist, Sir Galahad. He brought with him the balance and stoicism that Galahad exuded as a time and battle-worn Knight.
  • Alice Coulthard embodies the subtle and complex character traits that define Lady Ingraine; a lady of the Victorian Era with poise and decorum. But behind her facade lies a skilled and deft warrior.
  • Graham McTavish became the de facto leader when he stepped onto our stage. A favorite amongst both game and movie lovers, Graham is Sir Perceval, one of the most senior, wise, and most trusted members of the Order.
  • The Marquis de Lafayette was always going to be a tricky character to approach and Frederik Hamel has done the role justice and much more, bringing the needed joviality and levity to balance our squad. And a certain “je ne sais quoi…”

Weerasuriya describes this cast as "the backbone" of The Order: 1886's story and relationships, which you'll be able to discover for yourself when the game launches exclusively for PS4 on 20th February. Check out the vid below.

Take a good look everyone , the process of finding these actors , paying the actors , and motion capture , are what ate up most of there budget . Leaving ready at dawn with barely enough money left to budget there 5 hours worth of game play and story ideas . This will turn out to be one of the most expensive predetermined path games ever to flop . I will not pay $60.00 just to look at pretty graphics .

Because this is the only high priced game that can be finished in under 5 hours.

There are a lot of games out there, with the same price that can be finished in even less than 3 hours.

I'm really interested in this game, but there are still too many question marks over it, the length, the underwhelming gameplay demos etc,.

Gonna let the gaming community be the day 1 guinea pigs and see if this game is worth buying.
