Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection titles for February and as ever it's packed with great games.

Leading the way is the sci-fi RPG Transistor for PlayStation 4, from the people that created Bastion. It's joined by the Greek Mythology inspired hack em’ up Apotheon.

PlayStation 3 users can pick up SEGA's Yakuza 4 and Eidos Montreal's Thief, while PS Vita owners can download Jaywalkers Interactive's Kick & Fennick. Meanwhile, the utterly brilliant Rogue Legacy will also be made available across PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

Get the full descriptions below from the PS Blog.

Transistor (PS4)

From the creators of Bastion, Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city.

Apotheon (PS4)

The Gods of Olympus have abandoned humanity, leaving you to perish without their benevolence. Take up arms against the Gods, climb Mount Olympus, and take their divine powers for yourself to ensure mankind’s survival!

Yakuza 4 (PS3)

Yakuza 4 lets you explore the city of Tokyo in an unprecedented level of detail, experience every taboo in the underground world through the eyes of 4 revered men. Can you survive the dangers and temptations of the Japanese underworld?

Thief (PS3)

You are Garrett, the Master Thief. Step into the silent shoes of Garrett, a dark and solitary thief with an unrivaled set of skills. The most challenging heists, the most inaccessible loot, the best kept secrets: nothing is out of your reach.

Rogue Legacy (PS Vita|PS4|PS3)

A procedurally generated castle means every run is different. This is a Rogue-lite. Your character dies, but with each passing your lineage grows and becomes stronger. Tons of unique traits make every playthrough special, and with 10 different classes to master, there’s plenty of reason to come back for more (punishment)!

Kick & Fennick (PS Vita)

Soon after waking up in a desolate but colorful world, Kick meets a small flying robot named Fennick. When Fennick saves Kick from a menacing guard robot, they find out Fennick’s battery is broken. Together, they embark on an adventure to the Core Tower to find Fennick a new energy core.

Bugger, I got really excited when I saw Thief in the title! PS3 only tho :( I don't suppose it's a cross buy title, is it?

Once again I'm not really interested in the PS3 games, but the Vita and PS4 selections look great. It's pushing me closer and closer to buying a PS4.

Surprised of Thief, I thought it was a "bad" game. As for the rest, excluding Transistor and Yakuza I've no idea what games those are, but still, pretty neat!

Very good month for PS+. Transistor and Rogue Legacy are both fantastic... Too bad I already bought them. Lol. :P

If you don't have them already do yourself a huge favor and get those. You won't be disappointed.

Apotheon for me. Any word on the trophies? C'mon plat!

If you're looking for a good challenge, I highly suggest gunning for the Rogue Legacy platinum. Such a fun, rewarding experience when I finally got that platinum ding! Transistor is an easy plat you should all have no problems getting.

Does anyone else think Kick & Fennick looks like a shameless ripoff of Ratchet & Clank? I might play it if it's any good.

If you're into turn based RPG than Transistor is a must. My personal GOTY of last year! I also own Thief on PS4 and have little interest in other games, so at least I can keep working that backlog. Great month overall though!

@8, same with me have the Thief ps4 version, which got free via a gift card months ago, but might play ps3 version sometime for double trophies. If you like rps, transistor is fine and different game, I got it a couple of months ago with the black Friday deal.

Transistor - Played it on PC, don't mind playing the PS4 version again. No AAA PS4 games is a shame.

Apotheon - Games that are free on release date signs that the game is not probably good (minus Velocity 2X) e.g. Road not taken and Metrico.

Thief - Could have been on the PS4, not a good game from what I heard.

Yakuza 4 - They could have gave us some older PS3 games that are actually great. Yakuza never exceeded the standards of "good". I played 1 and 2 on the PS2 and there is a reason why I never played 3.

Rogue Legacy - One of my favorite indies on PC and I love the fact that no I can play it on PS consoles

Kick & Fennick - I don't know what it is, I just hope it's good.

Crap week minus maybe Transistor, which i wouldn't mind trying, all the others i'm not interested in or have never heard of, i would've preferred either Knack or Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for PS4 this month, but i guess Transistor will have to do for now

Great to see Yakuza get some love. People like #23 don't know how to appreciate some good action/beat-em up games with RPG elements, but most importantly... they are great Japan simulators for the parts of the cities they re-create. Yakuza 3 and 4 are really great games and I can't wait to see Yakuza 5 [finally] coming this summer!

Yakuza 4 looks interesting and I will be sure to download it if I ever have the "spare" 56 GB of storage needed to download and install it.

Looks like it's time to play and delete more games on my backlog.

Putting Yakuza 4 on the list was a brilliant move. The game's primary audience already finished it years ago, and they're now building that audience for the fifth game this summer.
