Bastion developer Supergiant Games has revealed the New Game+ 'Recursion Mode' for its upcoming PlayStation 4 outing Transistor. Like any NG+, it'll be unlocked upon finishing the game, giving you the chance to preserve your progression data, including User Level and any Transistor functions you've unlocked for a second playthrough.

"This immediately opens up a lot of new gameplay as you’ll be discovering new function combinations all the way through your initial playthrough of the game. You’ll also find some new surprises in the content itself the second time around,"  Supergiant's Creative Director Greg Kasavin explains on the PS Blog.

"Most notably, the composition of enemy forces you’ll encounter will be different - and it’ll be different just about every time you play. This means you can really sink your teeth into the core gameplay if, as we hope, you’ve taken a liking to it by the end of the game."

A single-player-focused experience, Transistor is aiming to be an "intimate and personal experience for players," according to Kasavin. Transistor will be heading to PS4 on May 20th in North America and May 21st in Europe for $14.99. Get the launch trailer below.

Agreed. Bastion is an example of how an indie game should be.
But I donĀ“t think this "new game+" recourse is that inovative...

YaY Another Indie game for the Playstation 4..

Looks fantastic - Its amazing how they get so much of the machine so early it's life cycle.. Is that true 2D graphics?

And I bet it plays just a little bit differently from the last few side scrolling adventures I have played on PSN..

Thanx Sony, so pleased you let me play these titles for just $15.. Keep shovelling them onto your flagship machine and I will keep buying them..

I am much more excited for this than I am Watch Dogs, and that's largely a credit to how fantastic Bastion was.

Been looking forward to this. Released at a good time as well, gives me a solid week to play it before Watch Dogs. Hope it is as fun as Bastion.

So why did everybody dog pile thumbs down this guy #3
he actually didnt say nothing wrong... hahaha

He is KINDA right, but i DID wish they had these games on ps3 but i think they couldnt develop it for ps3, but the ps4 is much more easy for them to work with, remember what the people at sony said for ps4... it is made EASY for developers

i actually love side scrolling games, so it doesnt bother me, i know these are just the games they are currently done with, the ones they are working with take much more time to finish... these games are JUST snacks... little puddings and so

dinner is going to be served soon... and just like ps3 there will be too many games to buy at the same time SOON enough... so you better start saving your money...
cause you will run out of it SOONER or later...

The ONLY thing i do NOT like about playstation 4 is the LOADING time on small games i got like, MERCENARY KINGS PS4 and STRIDER PS4 those games just load long for small games... but they ARE MY type of games... i grew up playing side scrollers and i ONLY loved that... when that 3D kicked it i REALLY thought the gaming world was done for me...

but then i started to like 3D after a LONG while but still craved for that 2D and here it comes... PS4 is actaully going back to the nintendo time of 1996... i love it

too bad for the LONG loading... strider PS4 loads while doing a move, now THAT i did NOT expect... but overall i LOVE that game, had FUN getting that platinum

Bastion was such crap that I'm very unlikely to touch this. Even if people say it's good... People also said Bastion was good, but Bastion was crap. So there's basically nothing that could be done to convince me to play this.

Will give this a go. Haven't played a good Isometric game since the fallout 1 and 2 and diablo 2.
