Will Ferrell voiced big-headed blue meany/reluctant super hero Megamind is getting the video game treatment unsurprisingly, bringing 2-player co-op side-missions alongside a new story that expands upon the movie's narrative with extra characters, environments and twists.

In the game, Megamind is called into action when the city is plunged into a crime wave and he has to fight against 'The Doom Syndicate' who have stolen some of his untested, unstable inventions. Luckily, Megamind has an arsenal of his own gadgets at his disposal, including Tesla Gloves, a Battlesuit and Sticky Boots.

Megamind: The Video Game also includes six side-missions designed for 2-player co-op, wherein one player assumes control of one of Megamind's brainbots.

Will Ferrell hasn't been announced as providing the voice for Megamind, but Jonah Hill is on board to perform the voice for his character from the movie.

Megamind is due out in November 2010. Check out the teaser trailer and first two screenshots.

@#3. Mega-Shrooms. Anyway, another movie tiein that will probably be an easy platinum and not much else. I pretty much write off a game when they release it on all consoles and handhelds- if it can be played on a DS as well as a ps3, there's something wrong with it.

@6: So Call of Duty 4(not MW2) was bad because it was also on DS? There have been plenty of great games that were released as portable versions. Dante's Inferno? Sonic & Sega All Stars racing? I mean really think before you even post a comment..

I saw the trailer of this movie before Toy Story 3. I'm curious to know how the movie goes (seeing Will voices the bad guy, or good guy?) and how the game will play. Also, this is another movie based video games. That means easy platinum and/or lame game.

@7 Those really aren't games to write home about.

I'll join in his speculation. Only because I swore never to
touch another hand-held video game device. They're usually crappy ports, and the ones that aren't are few and far between.

Looks kinda fun :) Will pass the time between other games. And anyway, sometimes you need movie tie-ins to remind you how awesome the big games are. If everything you play is epic, it all gets a bit less epic.

I feel the big games should be awesome on their own and not rely on others to make themselves look better in comparison.

@#7 cod 4 ain't on psp as well. As I said, when the same game is released on 6 consoles at the same time, I tend to write it off.

I'm sorry but the only good story game is Toy Story 3. But I will rent this for a platinum.
