Anybody know if this will be free if you bought season 1? Or is it straight up dlc?

Wasn't expecting it to come out so soon! Great surprise, can't wait to download and play it tomorrow. I don't expect a whole lot from it, but I'm hoping it bridges the gap between Season 1 and 2 well. Still, it'll be nice to be playing this game again.

Never expected DLC but hey!, is great surprise!

Also i don't complain if the DLC is payable, at least is cheap (its only $5, and not $10 or $15 like other games) and i really think that will worth it!, Telltale deserve more of my money!

Looks like i'll buy another PSN card for this month

Hopefully it doesn't do the same to us with what they did to The Walking Dead and release it here in New Zealand a few months after everyone else. Cause I want to grab this when I can for sure.

As to the question if this is FREE for Season Pass holders:

Is this episode part of the season 1 season pass or multipack?
No. 400 Days is DLC (downloadable content) for Season One and therefore requires an additional purchase to play. However, if you’d like to buy or if you have already purchased Walking Dead Season One from the Telltale Online Store, 400 Days is included as a thank you for your purchase.

Didn't want to be kill joy as I have a Season Pass and have completed this game as well... I want it to be FREE BUT unfortunately it's a "special episode" and it was mentioned before that the "contract" we had for Season Pass is up to Episode 5 only... still cheap and a good buy if you ask me...

... so tomorrow then yeah?

Is it a stand alone game or do I need episodes 1-5 installed?

amazing how quick telltale can churn out the cash cons.
but nothing for telltale fans who don't give a shit about this basic boring fad.
i thought back to the future was bad until i played the walking dead.
who knew you could clear a game with one hand, little thought and get a platinum.

thumb down away zombore freaks

Little off putting that it's not part of the season pass. Though from the sounds of the trophies you get with this maybe it's more then an extra level, would be entitled to assume we should get an entire expansion pack for free.

cool, i rented the disc version on ps3 and platted it and returned it, so will have to download the free episode 1 so i can play this. the disc version didnt have a patch update to accommodate this though.

as for on the 360, can finally use up some points.

@23, you are aware that the season pass was $20 for $25 worth of gaming right (and that's assuming you bought it at its regular price and not during one of the many sales).

This game was not a part of the original plan, it was the success of the game that lead to a Season 2 and a branching episode to tide the fans over between seasons/other games TellTale is working on.

The season pass entitled you to the 5 episodes of season 1, says so in the description. You paid for 4 episodes and got 5 episodes (Xbox owners didn't even have the option of the season pass, they had to shell out $25 unless they grabbed the episodes during a sale). It's not at all "off putting" that it's not part of the season pass because you already got everything that is supposed to come with the season pass. That's like buying season tickets for college football then complaining that the bowl game should have been included, when at the start of the season there was no guaranteed bowl game.
