Introduction

Welcome to Nekopara Vol. 2! Developed by Nekoworks and published by CFK, this game picks up from where Vol. 1 left off and continues the adventures of Kashou Minaduki and the catgirls, with this installment putting a greater focus on Coconut and Azuki. The PS4 version of this game is based on the all-ages version of the game, which does not feature any of the additional features present in the 18+ version that was released on PC in 2016 alongside the former.

As with the first game, this is basically your basic run-of-the-mill visual novel trophy list albeit much shorter than in Nekopara Vol. 1, but unlike most VN's, this game does not have the usual convention of deciding on any choices you want to make that could impact the game's story, or its trophies in one way or another as there are only two endings available; with one for each of the two scenarios. Additionally, finishing the game for the first time will also unlock an extra story that was originally released as a standalone game on Steam back in 2018.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Enjoy the Main Story

In this step, you will play through the story of the game as you enjoy all the antics that Kashou and the catgirls (namely Coconut and Azuki) will find themselves in throughout the game. You are free to either read through the story, or skip text to make this process faster. If you chose to do the latter, I highly recommend setting the following options in the configuration menu (which can be accessed inside "Config" from either the main menu, or in the Command Menu in-game as "Configuration"):

Once you have completed this step, you will now have the following trophies unlocked:

 A Cake Shop of Catgirls
 Catgirl Affairs
 He Oldest of the Sisters
 The Calm After the Storm
 Catty
 A Catgirl's Clumsy Heart
 The Four Catpanions

Step 2: Enjoy the Extra Scenario

In contrast to Vol. 1, touch mode will not unlock any trophies for the Extra scenario of Nekopara Vol. 2, which means you have the option of either reading or skipping the entirety of it as opposed to using touch mode during the main story like in the first game.

Once you have completed this step, you will now have the following trophies unlocked:

 Beginning of Extra Scenario
 Ending of Extra Scenario

Step 3: Changing the game's language

The final step of the guide will have you play through a snippet of the game in other languages, namely Chinese and Japanese. If you have already played through the game in its entirety in English, you can now change the language of the game to either one of the two aforementioned languages to enjoy the game with whichever one you chose to go for, but keep in mind that one of them (Chinese) has two variations.

Once you have completed this step, you will now have the following trophies unlocked:

 Play it in English!
 Play it in Chinese!
 Play it in Japanese!

A Cake Shop of Catgirls
Clear Chapter 1

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the first chapter (AKA Chapter 0 in the save file) of the game's story, where the rest of the catgirls and Shigure start their new jobs at La Soleil after they were hired by Kashou at the end of the first game.

Catgirl Affairs
Clear Chapter 2

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the second chapter (AKA Chapter 1 in the save file) of the game's story, which focuses on the relationship and bond between Kashou and Coconut after Shigure voluntarily takes Chocola and Vanilla with her to get their bells re-examined, only to leave the rest of the catgirls to work with her brother at the patisserie.

He Oldest of the Sisters
Clear Chapter 3

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the third chapter (AKA Chapter 2 in the save file) of the game's story, which focuses on Azuki and Coconut, whose relationship was tested after overhearing a conversation between Kashou and the former, only for her to run away from the patisserie following the fight. She eventually apologizes to Kashou and Azuki, and the two sisters make up.

The Calm After the Storm
Clear Chapter 4

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the fourth chapter (AKA Chapter 3 in the save file) of the game's story. After Shigure returns home with Chocola and Vanilla having their bells renewed, the three return to their jobs at the patisserie, where Kashou will teach Coconut on how to bake a cake properly.

Catty
Clear Chapter 5

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the fifth chapter (AKA Chapter 4 in the save file) of the game's story, which focuses on Chocola and Coconut. This chapter of the game marks a turning point for the latter as she becomes Kashou's catpanion after accidentally walking into La Soleil's baking room during Chocola's bonding moment with Kashou.

A Catgirl's Clumsy Heart
Clear Chapter 6

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the sixth chapter (AKA Chapter 5 in the save file) of the game's story, which follows a similar premise as the last chapter, but this time focusing on Vanilla and Azuki. This chapter of the game marks a turning point for the latter as she also becomes Kashou's catpanion as they share a bond together.

The Four Catpanions
Clear Chapter 7

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing the seventh and final chapter (AKA Chapter 6 in the save file) of the game's story, though you won't see it pop up until the end of the credits sequence.

Beginning of Extra Scenario
Start Extra Scenario

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

As with Nekopara Vol. 1, the console ports of the sequel also include an extra scenario that was also its own separate game on Steam. This time, the extra scenario featured in Vol. 2 is Nekopara Extra, a story that takes place a few years before the events of the series, which tells the story of how Chocola and Vanilla were found and adopted by the Minaduki family.

You can unlock it by completing the main game, but keep in mind that you cannot unlock trophies via touch mode, rendering it useless even if you want to unlock the trophies meant for the extra scenario at a faster pace without even starting it, which is a contrast to how it was in the previous game.

You will unlock this trophy as soon as you reach the first scene of this scenario after starting it for the first time.

Ending of Extra Scenario
Finish Extra Scenario

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy will be unlocked upon completing Nekopara Extra, the game's extra scenario, for the first time, where Kashou, Shigure, and the catgirls celebrate Christmas inside the Minaduki residence right before the new year kicks off. Keep in mind that you won't see it pop up until the end of the credits sequence.

As with the original game, there are three trophies you can unlock by playing the game in any one of the three languages provided; English, Chinese, and Japanese. This can be accessed by selecting "Language Configuration" in the "Config" menu.

In this case, we are going to change two language settings; the "Main Text Language", and the "Sub Text Language", both of which will have the following four choices when changing them.

  1. English
  2. ???? (Traditional Chinese)
  3. ???? (Simplified Chinese)
  4. ??? (Japanese)

As you may have noticed, there are two Chinese language options you can choose from, but in the case of this trophy, it doesn't matter which one you choose to go for, as it will still unlock regardless of your choice of either Traditional or Simplified Chinese.
