Forest Legends: The Call of Love is a short point and click adventure where Eveline is tasked with finding her lover Aurelio as he is hunted by both Humans and his own kind, the Felizes. The game itself and the trophy list are short and easy to complete and, as you can probably infer from the game's name, the story is one for the girls.

Step 1: Play through the game on Expert difficulty

Despite what you might assume, Expert difficulty is still quite easy. The only difference between the difficulty modes is reduced charge for your dragon in order to use hints, which you won't want to be using anyway as it voids two of your trophies. Just play through the game and you should unlock all but one of the game’s trophies. Keep in mind though that during this playthrough you want to avoid using hints or mini-game skips at all costs. Using them will result in you having to complete a second playthrough so whatever you do, keep your fingers away from the button and the cursor away from the dragon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

At the end of this step you should have:

The journey begins
Forbidden Forest
City of Felizes
Happy End
It was Easy
Puzzle Master
Let me go
Art of Potion Making
Luke, I am not your father
In the blink of an eye

Step 2: Start a new game and clean up any trophies you may have missed during your first playthrough.

This step should just be reserved for earning Encore!, however if you managed to void It was easy or Puzzle Master during your first playthrough then you can earn them during this one. Just keep in mind that for Encore!, all you have to do is start a new game. The playthrough doesn’t have to be finished or even attempted past the first cutscene.

It was easy
For completing the game in the Expert Mode without using a hint

This trophy should unlock at the same time as City of Felizes if you were playing on Expert difficulty from the start. This trophy is missable because if you activate any hints or skip any mini-games, it voids the trophy for that playthrough meaning you will have to start another playthrough in order to earn the trophy. For reference, hints can be triggered by pressing or clicking on the dragon in the lower right corner of your screen. Skipping mini-games is also achieved by pressing or by clicking the 'Skip Minigame' button where available.

Be extra cautious with where you click or put your fingers on your controller with this trophy as the game has a habit of saving quite often (especially after mini-games) meaning once a hint or skip has been activated, that playthrough is ruined and you can't reload your save either as that option is not available. You will know you've triggered a hint when a ball of Fire shoots from the dragon's mouth and surrounds the nearest objective.

General Tips:

  • Even though hints can't be used in an Expert difficulty playthrough, the game still provides another means of telling you what to do. If you bring the map up with , the area(s) with an objective (either finding an item or placing an item somewhere) you need to go to will be marked with a yellow question mark.
  • If you are having trouble locating an item and you know it is in the area you're in, spam as you scan across the screen trying to find it (while making sure to avoid triggering your dragon). If it doesn't immediately pick the item up as the cursor hovers over it, then at least make sure to pay attention to the text at the top of the screen. It often tells you what is required to get an item that you can’t currently obtain.
  • Alternatively, if you do not want to bother figuring the game out, I have put together a walkthrough of the whole game including where to find and place all story related items. It can be found here: LINK
Puzzle Master
For completing all mini-games without skipping

This trophy should unlock after completing the Coloured Tiles mini-games in the final chapter (assuming you haven't skipped any previous mini-games). This trophy is missable though as skipping any of the mini-games will void the trophy for that playthrough. For reference, mini-games can be skipped by pressing or by clicking the 'Skip mini-game' button.

There are 18 mini-games throughout the game you will have to complete, spread apart as follows:

Chapter 2:

  • City Wall key gates mini-game: You can make out some of the key's shapes to find the right keyhole, however after that it's pretty much trial and error to you see which key can fit into which hole. You have an unlimited number of tries at these mini-games so don't worry about failing them or missing them.
  • Healer's Hut Star Nut Puzzle: This is fairly simple, keep rotating the stars until each circle matches and completes the picture
  • Healer's Hut Chest Puzzle: Match the inner symbols with the outer symbols. The Clam=Pearl, Snake=Poison, Web=Spider, Honeycomb=Bee, Butterfly=Caterpillar and the Grim Reaper=Ghost.
  • Rotating Bells mini-game in Garden: One of the trickier puzzles in my opinion. You have to spin each bell so that the item on it corresponds with the animal at the top. For reference: The Bear=Fish and Honey, The Bird=Beetle and Worm, The Squirrel=Nut and Acorn, The Fox=Chicken and Rabbit, and the Mouse=Wheat and Cheese. The solution to the puzzle is (Numbering each Bell from left to right): Rotate the 2nd Top Bell Once, the Bottom Fourth Bell once and the Top 5th Bell once. This sequence doesn't seem too difficult but having mucked up my first try of it, that puzzle originally took me 20 minutes to figure out. Unlocks the Let me Go trophy.
  • Soldier Puzzle mini-game: Shouldn't cause too much trouble. Just try to get each soldier over to the corresponding weapon at the top. I focused on getting the Archer together first followed by the Axeman and lastly the Swordsman.
  • Star mini-game: Pretty simple. Click each star until a beam of light is illuminating every star on the board.

Chapter 3

  • Constellation mini-game: Simply click on the stars until they match the constellation shown on the paper in the top left of the screen.
  • Rune mini-game: Simply Click the symbols in the order they appear on the scroll in the bottom left.
  • Gear mini-games: A trickier puzzle but still simple enough. Click on the arrows and rotate the gears until they are all grouped by colour around their respective smaller gears. A bit of trial and error should finish this mini-game within 10 minutes.
  • Puzzle mini-game: These puzzles are simple enough in design that a toddler could probably piece them back together, however the pieces have to be very close together in order to register as joined. The hand cursor loves to drift downward and make your job harder with connecting them so if you're staring at a completed puzzle and it’s not doing anything, it's because your pieces need to be closer together somewhere.
  • Abacus mini-game: Pretty simple, match your abacus colours to those shown in the image in the top right.
  • Matching Pairs mini-game: Just use trial and error to solve this mini-game. Only two clams can be open at a time and you have to match each pair of clams.

Chapter 4

  • Slot mini-game: Possibly the Easiest mini-game simply select the images in the correct order, that order being the images(from left to right): 3, 2, 1, 4
  • Missing Pieces Minigame: A pretty simple mini-game (once you find where the pieces are). Simply click on the pieces below the image and drag them to their corresponding locations in the image.
  • Flip Tiles mini-game: Pretty simple, just flip the tiles until it creates a matching image. Keep in mind you’ll have to create the image with the Green Haired Woman and not the Blue Haired Woman in order to complete the mini-game.
  • Puzzle mini-game Number 2: same tips as the first Puzzle mini-game.

Chapter 5

  • Mirror Beam mini-game: Pretty Simple. (Numbered from the Left to Right, Top to Bottom) Move the Second Row once to the Left, The Second Column down once, the Fourth Row once to the Left and the Second Row back once to the Right.
  • Coloured Tiles mini-game: Use trial and error to rotate each coloured ball into their own coloured quadrants.
Let me go
For taming the scarecrow

Story Related, Cannot be Missed

This trophy should unlock after completing or skipping, though not recommended, the Rotating Bells mini-game during chapter 2.

Art of Potion Making
For making five potions successfully

Story Related, Cannot be Missed

You should receive this trophy during chapter 3 after creating the 'Renovation potion'. This cannot be missed because creating potions is required to advance the story, therefore no potion can be skipped.

Luke, I am not your father
For revealing Francis’ secret

Story Related, Cannot be Missed

This should unlock after solving the chest puzzle in the healers house during Chapter 2. Upon opening the chest you can select a document to read revealing that Eveline's Father is not her biological father. This cannot be missed as an item essential to furthering the story is hidden behind the document.

For rescuing the little pixie

Story Related, Cannot be Missed

A Pixie gets stuck inside a flower near the beginning of chapter 2. To get him out, you'll find a diamond inside the carriage to your right in the same area. You will then need to use the diamond on the flower the pixie is trapped in, the trophy should unlock shortly afterwards. This trophy is unmissable because freeing the Pixie is required to continue story progression.

In the blink of an eye
For travelling to another location using X button 50 times

Travelling to locations in this game is done in two ways:

1: You can travel between areas by clicking on the golden arrows on the screen, which indicate different areas.

2: You can bring up the map with and click on any individual location you have already travelled to.

For the purposes of this trophy though, only the second method of travelling by using the map will count so make sure to use it as much as possible. If you're using the map as often as you can, this trophy should unlock during chapter 3. If for some reason this trophy hasn't unlocked after finishing the game, starting a new game and travelling between 2 areas repeatedly by using the map should net you the trophy in a few minutes.

For completing the game and starting playing it over again

After completing the game once on any difficulty, simply select the 'Play' option again and this trophy will unlock during the first cutscene.
