  • Offline trophies: 38 (24, 8, 5, 1)
  • Online trophies: 0

  • Number of missable trophies: 0 (chapter select)
  • Glitched trophies: 0
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: N/A
  • Do trophies stack?: Yes, NA/EU/JP/KR have separate trophy lists

Introduction:

Corpse Party: Blood Drive is the third and final game in the original Corpse Party trilogy (not counting the spin-off games), beginning with Corpse Party (Blood-Covered Repeated Fear) and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. It closes the story of a group of students who perform a friendship charm and get sucked into a hell dimension known as Heavenly Host Elementary School, where the ghosts of brutally murdered students haunt the halls, looking for vengeance... or their next victim.

Story-wise, Blood Drive assumes that you've played both Corpse Party and Book of Shadows, and as such gives little to no explanation as to the events of those two games, not even via the in-game encyclopedia. If you are in this for the story, I highly recommend either playing those first (both are available as digital download on PSN; no trophies though!) or reading a detailed plot synopses, or you're going to be confused. If you're just in it for the trophies, however, you can hold down to skip all the dialogue and cut-scenes.

SK0RRK33P3R has put together a series of video walkthroughs HERE using the Japanese version of the game. He has also put together a text walkthrough HERE. The text walkthrough IS missing a few of the Corpse Tags (not sure about the video walkthroughs); I've covered that in my CORPSE TAG GUIDE if you are following it.

He's also put together a map, which is nice because Blood Drive doesn't have one.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete Story Mode (while collecting all Corpse Tags and Endings)

Play through all 10 chapters of the game. Keep an eye out for Corpse Tags (especially in Chapters 9 and 10) and abuse the save system to collect each chapter's wrong endings. If you miss anything, you can always come back later with chapter select. Also, this is where you'll want to go for those "clear any chapter" condition trophies. If you want to save yourself a third playthrough of Chapter 9, familiarize yourself with the requirements for Obliteration and/or Purity before starting that chapter.

Keep in mind that unless you're going for Shadows, you can use the Endless Battery cheat (press when using the flashlight). It has a tendency to toggle off without warning, so check it from time to time.

After completing this step, you will have earned:

Omen
Regrets
A Faint Light
Last Waltz
Martuba
The Unconceding
Memories, Like Beautiful Dreams
Threading the Needle
Determination
Separation
Ties Severed, Ties Mended
Conclusion
Satsuki's Heart
Opulence

And likely:

Reconciliation
Shadows
Mortality
Darkening

And if you didn't miss any Corpse Tags / Endings, you will have earned:

Returning
Respective Desires
Pain
Pillars of the Six Demons
Breakdown
Book of Shadows
Imperator
Reparations
Release

Step 2: Replay Chapter 8

Now we're going for flawless runs. You can either do this in one or two playthroughs. Resolution requires you to not get injured (tripwires, cracked floors, glass, attacks), while Character requires you to avoid anything that would affect your Darkening levels (like touching just about anything not required to progress: Corpse Tags, spirits, etc, or by being trapped by tentacle patches). Just take your time to avoid obstacles, make sure you get the talisman at the beginning of the chapter, and you'll be fine.

After completing this step, you will have earned:

Character
Resolution

Step 3: Replay Chapter 9 twice

Depending on how you played Chapter 9, you may only need to replay it once. Obliteration requires you to exorcise all eight spirits found throughout the chapter, and Purity requires you not to exorcise any of them. When going for Purity, don't pick up anything in the chapter unless you know what it is; you will automatically use a talisman if it's in your inventory. The replays won't take too long if you're not going out of your way for wrong endings and Corpse Tags.

After completing this step, you will have earned:

Purity
Obliteration

Step 4: Play through EX Chapters

EX Chapters are side stories that are unlocked through the progression of gameplay. Each only has a single ending, and is entirely text, so you don't have to worry about doing anything. When you've finished reading EX Chapters 1-7, EX Chapter 8 will unlock. Read through that as well. Reading through all the EX Chapters will unlock the rest of your missing collectibles (CGs, Encyclopedia entries, etc), you can read their trophy descriptions for more information.

After completing this step, you will have earned:

Recognition
Outspokenness
Gratitude
Wisdom
Aesthetics
Bravery

And finally... Finality! Congratulations!

[PST Would Like to Thank themindisacity for this Roadmap]

Finality
Obtained all other trophies.

Congratulations on your shiny new Platinum trophy!

Release
Located every name tag.

Name tags are located on the dead bodies you'll find strewn throughout the game. When you find a dead body, walk up to it and press to search it and the collectible will register. If you've already collected the tag, you'll get a message telling you so. See my CORPSE TAG GUIDE for more information.

Bravery
Obtained every ending to every chapter.

With the exception of chapters 0, 7 and 8, every other chapter in the game has multiple endings. Whenever you get a Wrong End, you will be prompted to save the system data. Do so to log the ending in your records. See each chapter's ending-specific trophy description for more information.

You will also need to play through the EX Chapters to unlock this trophy.

Aesthetics
Unlocked all images in the Gallery of Spirits.

Clearing every ending – good and bad – will unlock most of the CG images of the game. The last few will be found in the EX Chapters.

There are two images that you might miss while playing through the game. One is unlocked in Chapter 5 during one of the methods of obtaining a Wrong End (hiding in a closet), and the other is unlocked by having a ghost spot you trying to hide from it.

Opulence
Unlocked all music tracks in the Cursed Phonograph.

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this midway through the ending sequences at the end of Chapter 10.

Outspokenness
Unlocked all voice files in the EVP Machine.

Clearing every ending – good and bad – will unlock most of the these. A few more will be unlocked when you collect all the Corpse Tags. The last few will be unlocked after playing the EX Chapters.

While you're not likely to, there are two that you may miss. One is unlocked in Chapter 9, by using the Ouija board in Main Building 2F 5A (The game prompts you to go there but you don't have to use the board it obviously wants you to use). The other is unlocked in Chapter 10 by choosing the "help" option during the scene with Inumaru (you need to go through this scene to get one of the Wrong Ends).

If you miss these during your first playthrough and end up getting them via chapter select, you MUST play through the rest of the chapter in order to unlock them.

Gratitude
Unlocked all Soulful Testimonies from the voice cast.

If you miss these during your first playthrough and end up getting them via chapter select, you MUST play through the rest of the chapter in order to unlock them.

Wisdom
Unlocked all entries in the Encyclopedia Obscura.

Clearing every ending – good and bad – will unlock most of the these. The last few will be unlocked after playing the EX Chapters.

Omen
The curse is growing...

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this after the title sequence in the middle of Chapter 00.

Mortality
Received a Game Over by dying from injuries. (1)

There are several ways to get injured in Corpse Party: Blood Drive. You can run into glass piles, or fall through cracks in the floor. You can also be hit by the ghosts wandering the hallways. All of these deplete your HP (which you can recover at save candles or by using bandages). I got this by running into a glass pile until I died. I'm not certain if getting a bad ending by being beaten to death by a spirit counts.

Darkening
Received a Game Over by succumbing to the Darkening.

In Chapter 2 you will learn about Darkening once you reach the music room. One method to raise your Darkening meter is by being grabbed by tentacles that come out of certain patches of floor. The earliest and easiest way to pop this trophy is to wait until you're at the end of the chapter (you'll have recently be saved by then, so you won't have to repeat as much), and next to the cabinet you need to go to is a patch of floor that will squeeze you to death. It will take a few minutes, but it will happen.

Regrets
Experienced an unfortunate end.

Each chapter has at least one ending – a "true" ending – and most of them have a number of bad endings ("wrong end", as the game puts it). Unlock any of these to pop the trophy. The earliest you can unlock this trophy is by getting the bad ending in Chapter 1 – simply fail to escape the ghost in time.

Conclusion
Cleared the true ending to each chapter.

Story related and cannot be missed. You will receive this after the ending credits and the epilogue scene in Chapter 10.

Last Waltz
Unlocked EX Chapter 01.

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this after clearing Chapter 3.

Martuba
Unlocked EX Chapter 02.

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this after clearing Chapter 3.

The Unconceding
Unlocked EX Chapter 03.

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this after clearing Chapter 4.

Memories, Like Beautiful Dreams

Story related and cannot be missed. You will unlock this after clearing Chapter 6.

Threading the Needle

  1. Follow Inumaru north, then choose kill (choosing "help" unlocks some EVP and Testimonial entries)
  2. Final battle: Die without dealing damage
  3. Final battle: Deal some damage, then die
  4. Final battle: Defeat the Queen after being hit four times (makes the blue spirits surrounding you go away)

Secret Trophies

Shadows
Cleared any chapter in the dark.

It's likely you'll get this without even trying, as the game doesn't actually explain how to use the flashlight. It's easiest gotten in Chapter 1 – simply never press for the entire chapter.

Obliteration
Used up every available Talisman in Chapter 9. (1)

There are 8 spirits you can run into during Chapter 9. If you find a talisman, you'll find a spirit nearby in the same room. In the order in which you're likely to find them:

  1. Just south of the starting point - spirit further to the right by the Corpse Tag
  2. Main Building 1F just left of the door - spirit at the top of the stage between 4A and 5A.
  3. Second Wing 2F Hallway - by the Storage Room. You need to run past the spirit to grab the talisman.
  4. Second wing 2F Hallway - in the open center area. Spirit is next to the bathroom to the left.
  5. Main Building 1F 6A - Talisman in middle of room; spirit will appear in top left after a delay. NOTE: this is where the West stairwell used to be.
  6. Main Building 2F Hallway - Talisman in top right; spirit will appear further south.
  7. Shimorenjaku Apartments B Wing 4F - Access via bottom right exit from Main Building 2F. Talisman right by stairs; spirit in the nearby door.
  8. Underground Passage - talisman in the cell just after the two swinging blades that move at different speeds; spirit is just to the right.

The trophy will not pop until after you finish the chapter.

Reconciliation
Understood all of the Queen's words.

The final battle in Chapter 10 is fought by knowing the correct responses to the Queen's words, which are written in the runic alphabet. The responses to help you are found in the Reference Room earlier in the chapter. It takes five hits to defeat the Queen. You'll automatically fail the round if you take too long to decide, so if you need to, use the button to pause the game and figure out which option you need to choose.

NOTE: For the NA version of the game, the button choices are , , and .

SK0RRK33P3R has made a chart to help you out:

Resolution
Cleared any chapter without injury.

Unfortunately, you can't do this in Chapter 7, the shortest gameplay chapter of the game. It's easiest done in Chapter 1 or Chapter 8; I personally did it in Chapter 8 because there's no cracked floors to worry about. Just take your time walking, avoid cracked floors (if applicable), tripwires and glass.

I did this without being grabbed by floor tentacles, but I don't think they count, as they tend to kill you via the Darkening meter. But I cannot confirm if doing this will negate your progress towards the trophy.

Character
Cleared any chapter (except Chapter 1) without suffering any mental pollution.

You must get through an entire chapter without increasing your Darkening levels. So don't touch anything unless needed to get through the chapter or is an inventory item, and don't get grabbed by a patch of tentacle floor. Picking up Corpse Tags adds to your Darkening, so you'll have to do this upon a replay of the chapter (like when you're going for Resolution).

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you can do this in Chapter 7, either. So do it in Chapter 8! If you pick up the Talisman to the right of the starting area, you can get past the ghost without affecting your Darkening meter. After that, just make your way to the spiral staircase and the end of the chapter. It's about 5 minutes of gameplay in total.

Purity
Cleared Chapter 9 without purifying a single wandering spirit.

Basically, play through Chapter 9 without picking up any talismans, as talismans will automatically be used on spirits once you've picked them up. The ghosts will chase you, even between buildings; if you want to get rid of them, go to a Save Point and save, then reload the game to get them to go away. See below for a bare-bones walkthrough:

  • Start in the Second Wing. Go to the Main Building 1F Basement Stairs (by 4A)
  • Go down the spiral stairs to Second Wing 2F.
  • Grab the axe, take stairwell to 1F and exit to the Covered Walkway between buildings
  • Go to the Main Building Entranceway - follow the linear path through the apartment until the save candle, then use left door.
  • Grab a second axe, leave Apartment via bottom door - this takes you back to the Covered Walkway
  • Go to the Main Building 2F 1A (via 1F East Stairs)
  • Cut down the middle and right bodies
  • Backtrack to the Apartment save candle (via the Main Building 1F Entryway)
  • Enter left door, then enter the door you couldn't enter before
  • Go downstairs, enter Underground Passage
  • Pass the blade traps and get the Dark Crystal from the cell behind the two-blade trap
  • Grab the Den Key from the center of the area (likely a spirit chasing you), and the Light Crystal from the square room nearby
  • Backtrack to the save candle, open the door next to it, solve the crystal puzzle
  • Go to the right past the swinging blades (watch out for the spirit) and play through the rest of the chapter (choose arrowhead).
